  • Donate to and buy from our Thrift Store – all types of donations are appreciated.
  • Gently used furniture can be picked up – call 830-249-8040.
  • Donations are tax deductible.
  • Become a Volunteer – even a small amount of your time is valuable.
  • Help in our Store or in our clinic locations; retail, administrative assistance, animal care or help with specific HCAL events.
  • Call either location to discuss volunteer opportunities.
  • Support a Classroom – HCAL provides elementary classrooms with the Humane Society’s KIND NEWS each school year.
  • Each child receives this age appropriate monthly newsletter.
  • In addition to educational articles, there are activities for the children.
  • A donation of $25.00 will support one classroom for the year.
  • Promote spay/neuter of dogs and cats to your family, friends and neighbors.
  • They can call our clinic for reasonably priced services.
