Darr Wilson, D.V.M. received his undergraduate and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
After retiring and selling his veterinary prac-tice of 40 years in Webster, Texas, Dr. Wilson and his wife of 47 years moved to the Boerne area.
Dr. Wilson has been help-ing HCAL since April of 2007 and is currently serving as the Medical Director.
Dr. Wilson is one of our favorite story tellers!
Robert Vriesenga, D.V.M. is a graduate of Texas A&M Uni-versity and A&M School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Vriesenga spent 35 years in Dallas own-ing and operating his own small animal private practice.
He and his wife have lived in Boerne for nine years. Dr. V, as we affectionately call him, was HCAL's first Medical Director and performed many of the clinic's first surgeries.
Justin Harper, D.V.M. is the newest member of the HCAL team.
Dr. Harper received his undergraduate and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
He did his surgical residency at Auburn and also at a private practice clinic in Littleton, Colorado.
Currently, Dr. Harper is offering specialized sur-gical services to private veterinary practices located in the Texas Hill Country.
He and his wife, Jodi, have been married for three years.
Edmund Meier, D.V.M. received his undergraduate and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
He currently owns and operates the Leon Valley Vet Hospital.
Dr. Meier has been with HCAL since 2006 and per-formed some of our first onsite surgeries.
He is active in the O'Connor FFA and is a current Board Mem-ber of the Helotes 4H.
Dr. Meier has been married for 16 years and stays busy with his two boys and one girl.
Amy Mackrell, D.V.M. is a graduate of Texas A&M and also received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from their school of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Mackrell is a San Antonio native and has been living in the Boerne area since 1994.
After getting her Veterinary Degree she worked for several private practice clinics in the San Antonio area.
She has been helping HCAL since 2006.
Dr. Mackrell is the proud mom of four boys and one girl.
Amazingly, she still has time to help us.
Ariana Finklestein, D.V.M received her undergraduate degree in 1992 from Rutgers State University where she was awarded the George H. Cook Award.
In 1996 she received her veterinary medicine degree from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Finklestein is currently located at I10 pet Emergency Clinic in San Antonio and is an active member of TVMA.
